At the January meeting, two of Worksop and District u3a’s own ensembles provided the entertainment.
The ukulele and guitar groups treated members to a toe-tapping afternoon of favourite tunes, playing everything from Elvis and Cliff Richard to The Beatles and Yazoo. The afternoon was thoroughly enjoyed by all who attended, and a big thank you goes to the leaders of these groups for their efforts.
The March meeting, taking place on Thursday 20th March, will be the Annual Membership Renewal and Open Day. Many of the groups will be displaying or demonstrating what they do in their sessions. This is a great opportunity to walk around, speak to group members, and learn more about their interests and activities. Perhaps it will even inspire you to try something new!
The more groups a member joins, the better value their membership becomes. Staying busy also creates more opportunities to make new friends, so everyone is encouraged to make the most of their membership.
The membership team will be available on the day to receive renewal payments.
Monthly meetings are held at the Civic Centre, Carlton in Lindrick, from 1.45pm, with drinks served on arrival.
