At last – spring is here! The weather is improving, Covid restrictions have been lifted and life feels a bit more like normal life used to be.

The local group of Notts Wildlife Trust is resuming its programme of talks this month, and what better subject to start with than the newly introduced beavers now living on the Idle Valley reserve? There’s been a great deal of interest in the beavers, spiked, among other things, by photographs of the trees they’ve already felled. Amazing!

Janice Bradley, the Trust’s Head of Nature Recovery (North) who was heavily involved in the beaver reintroduction, will be the speaker. She will tell members about the county plan for species recovery, why beavers are important to it and why they’ve been located at the Idle Valley reserve. Janice will also explain more about the Idle Valley project and how our beavers are getting on.

Everyone is always welcome; if you’d like to go please phone Jan on 01777 709974 or 07969 180067 or email janwilliamson133@gmail.com and she’ll let you have the date and time of the talk.
