Catherine Greensmith will be returning to Les Francophiles de Tickhill on Wednesday 6th November to give an illustrated talk on Gauguin, Cézanne and DH Lawrence. Whilst DH Lawrence may be better known as an author, he was also an artist who took an interest in the Impressionist, Post Impressionist and other art movements. Catherine will take the group through some of these connections in a fascinating talk on these well-known but sometimes controversial characters.
They meet at 7.30pm in the Parish Room on the first Wednesday of each month between October and the following July. Meetings are in English but there is always an opportunity to practise your French over tea / coffee by joining those members of the group who are experienced French speakers.
