The Aurora Wellbeing Centre in Worksop is a unique wellbeing service providing support in Bassetlaw from the Old Library and Museum building. By booking and shopping there you are supporting local people. Aurora supports the local community by delivering services for people affected by cancer, long-term health conditions and boosting the wellbeing of local people.
And they support in more ways than you think. Did you know:
…their popular beauty service is open to the public? Their affordable beauty treatment is paid forward and funds complimentary beauty packages to support the care of those recovering from a cancer diagnosis and their carer.
…they have fully equipped, catered meeting rooms, community spaces and private offices to hire? The Old Library and Museum building is the perfect setting to host business meetings, community workshops or social groups. The booking fee contributes to fundraising, such as providing a ‘warm space’ for those who need it.
…they have a unique, sensibly priced and ever-changing charity shop? Shop purchases directly support therapy services such as ‘Anxiety and Stress’ workshops, one-to-one counselling, and social groups for people affected by cancer and long-term conditions.
…their Tea Room is open from 9.00am to 4.00pm? Valerie’s Tea Room is the perfect location for a home cooked lunch, afternoon tea, special celebration event or corporate buffet, with sales contributing to ‘Cancer Prevention’ and ‘Living with and Beyond Cancer’ support programmes.
…they plan regular celebration events and family activities to fundraise for local people in need? Every pound donated ensures they can reach people impacted by social isolation.
