Within the last few months, members of 1208 (Warsop) Squadron have been developing skills with leadership, teamwork, presentation skills and more.

Their cadet NCO team has been working on teamwork and leadership, which will help them become more confident within themselves and their team to operate and monitor a parade night. These teamwork and leadership exercises rely on communication and dedication for the team to reach their goal in the exercises given.

Doing these exercises has helped the NCO team realise a way of communicating with and understanding each other, as well as understanding how to work as a team.

The intake of cadets who started in October last year has reached the stage where they are eligible to graduate to the main Squadron, partaking in a passing out parade in front of their families. This opens a lot of opportunities for them as they have now learned the basics of how to be an RAF Air Cadet.

Examples of the opportunities awaiting them are: flying, gliding, shooting the Air Rifle, L144, L98 and L81, Clay Target Shooting, camps and much more; the list is endless!

Cadet Flight Sergeant Dau said: “This group of Junior Cadets, that are now First Class cadets, has made me very proud, both of them and myself as it was my very first time teaching a new intake. They have shown me that they have the qualities of a Cadet and follow the Corps and RAF values of RAFAC which is RISE, Respect, Integrity, Service and Excellence.”
