The Edwinstowe Remembrance parade and service is now finalised, and the programme is shown below. Anyone who wishes to join the parade on Sunday 10th November will be welcome. This will leave at exactly 9.30am from King Edwin School and all participants must be at that location not later than 9.20am.
The parade is to St Mary’s Church for a service at 10.00am, followed by a move to the War Memorial.
Anyone wishing to lay a wreath at the Memorial Garden will be given the opportunity to do so immediately after the crowd have observed the two-minute silence at 11.00am. The Lord Lieutenant for Nottinghamshire will be represented by Mr Peter Emmerson DL.
Once again, the Remembrance group are most grateful for all the kind donations they have received – including those from Strawberry Field and Edwinstowe and the Dukeries Lions Club – to support this important national and Commonwealth event of Remembrance.
The Royal British Legion’s formal Poppy Appeal will be launched towards the end of October and poppies will be available to everyone from that point. Once again, thank you for your support and your participation.
