At the Christmas Fayre on Saturday 30th November, the Edwinstowe Hospice Support Group had the pleasure of presenting a cheque for £12,902 to Tracey Joyce, Trust Manager of The John Eastwood Hospice.
This impressive amount was raised from two primary sources over the past year.
The first source was the incredible work of Tracey Wilson, of Robin Hood Avenue, who raised £8,402 through her online sales. This achievement reflects the significant time and effort she has dedicated. Sincere thanks go to Tracey, her family, and her helpers for their outstanding contribution.
The second source was the events organised by the Support Group throughout the year, which raised a total of £4,500. Recent highlights include a hamper raffle stall on Edwinstowe High Street during the Christmas Lights event on Thursday 28th November, which raised £432. This total included £81 contributed by Milly Gorman and the Trefoil Guild, whose tombola shared the stall. A heartfelt thank you to Milly and her team for their efforts.
Another key event was the Christmas Fayre itself, which raised £663. Held in a beautifully festive Village Hall, the Fayre offered a warm and friendly atmosphere for attendees to shop and reconnect with friends.
Thanks are extended to everyone who organised and supported these events, and special appreciation goes to those who participated and contributed to the activities.
