A sunny morning on Saturday 11th May created just the right ambience for the Hospice Support Group’s Plant Sale and Coffee Morning in Edwinstowe Village Hall.
Plants of many types and varieties were arranged on tables outside whilst inside there were various stalls and raffles. Regular customers joined newcomers in buying plants and trying their luck on the raffles and tombola. The event raised a fantastic £776.
Despite forecasts of rainy weather, Wellow Maypole Day on Monday 27th May proved to be sunny and warm, bringing out the crowds and making it ideal for another plant stall which was very successful in raising £263.
The above money goes ultimately to The John Eastwood Hospice; many thanks to all who helped to raise these funds.
We will be holding our next plant stall at Edwinstowe Village Hall Fête on Saturday 6th July. We hope to see you there!
