A new year and new clients mean Dial-a-Trip, the local community car scheme based in Tuxford, needs new volunteer drivers.
Have you found yourself with spare time and wondering how to use it? Do you have a full driving licence? Enjoy driving and meeting new people? If the answer is yes, why not get in touch?
Volunteering offers many benefits, including the opportunity to meet new and interesting people, which not only benefits clients but could also enrich the experience of volunteers. Current drivers often say how much they enjoy volunteering, and clients frequently express their appreciation for both the service and the drivers. Volunteers work only the hours they choose, with no late evenings or weekend commitments.
There are no age limits for volunteering, and no special skills are required. A DBS check is necessary, but this is arranged free of charge.
Would you like to learn more? Please contact 01777 948382, Monday to Friday, 9.30am to 12.30pm. (Administrators are also volunteers.) There is an answerphone to leave a message outside these hours.
