Stag Community Church (formerly Herringthorpe United Reformed Church), located next to The Stag pub on Wickersley Road, runs Community Chat on the second Saturday of each month from 10.00am to 12.00pm. This is open to anyone who would like to drop in for a free cuppa and a chat.
The church also hosts the Memory Lane Café on the last Wednesday of every month from 1.30pm to 3.30pm. Memory Lane is a dementia-friendly café, but open to all, offering free refreshments and musical entertainment provided by Lost Chord.
On Sunday 16th March, from 4.30pm to 6.00pm, the monthly Café Church will take place. This informal gathering is designed for all ages, where participants sit around tables to explore a Bible passage through activities, crafts, and discussion. Everyone is welcome, whether just exploring faith or a lifelong Christian.
The church offers a wide range of children’s and youth activities, including the Cheeky Chicks Parent and Toddler Group on Monday mornings, a weekly Kids Club for school years 3 to 6, a Youth Club for school years 7 to 11, as well as Scout and Guide groups.
