Head Gardener Scott reveals the secrets of the gardens at Wentworth Woodhouse

Guided tours of the Wentworth Woodhouse gardens have sprung into life again. Re-launched following Government Covid-19 guidelines, there are two fascinating experiences to choose from/

Each enables visitors to learn about the history of the gardens and how they came to be, and discover the huge effort to restore them. Both tours start at the Stables and take in the Camellia House, Ice House, ha-ha,Terrace and West Front and all tour tickets also give free all-day access to the gardens, where food and drink is available.

Head Gardener Scott Jamieson is leading 90-minute tours on four dates in August. Scott is transforming the grounds of Wentworth Woodhouse with patience, dedication and passion. Expect to see the summer garden in full bloom, discover some hidden features and pick up some gardening and landscaping tips from Scott along the way.

Head Gardener tours run at 10.30am and 1.30pm on Friday 7th August, Thursday 13th August, Friday 21st August and Friday 28th August. Prices: adults £25, under 16s £12.50. National Trust members receive a 50 per cent discount.

Hour-long standard guided garden tours run at 11.00am every Wednesday to Sunday in August and September. Prices: adults £15, under 16s £7.50. Discounted prices for National Trust members: adult £10, child £5.
