As always, your Rotherham Life magazine is full of details of local events and local group meetings but with the challenging times we’re experiencing lots of these are being cancelled. Everything in recent magazines was accurate at the time of going to print, but these are the updates we have received about confirmed changes.
We’ll keep updating this list as we’re made aware of changes and cancellations.
- Friends in Harmony choir have made the decision to suspend rehearsals for the foreseeable future and, in agreement with the organisers, all their summer concerts have been cancelled
- Doncaster Spanish Society have cancelled their March meeting on Friday 20th March and their April meeting on Friday 24th April
- Tickhill Music Society have decided to cancel their April concert and AGM
- Tickhill Film Society have decided to suspend showing films the foreseeable future
- Braithwell Yorkshire Countrywomen’s Association’s fashion show to be held at the Ruddle Centre in Braithwell on Tuesday 14th April is postponed until further notice
- For the first time in over 30 years after much deliberation, with heavy hearts and sadness the organisers have taken the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 Braithwell Church and Country Fair on Saturday 6th June
- Rotherham Sitwell Rotary Club’s meetings have been cancelled for the foreseeable future
- Rother Valley Retired Teachers meetings are all cancelled until further notice
- All Slimming World groups have been cancelled
- Easter Eggstravaganza at Clifton Park Museum on 7th April has been cancelled
- Easter Hunt at Herringthorpe Valley Park on 8th April has been cancelled
- Spring at Boston Castle on 8th April has been postponed
- Virtual Reality Playground at Rotherham Town Centre on 9th and 10th April has been postponed until 30th and 31st October
- Roman Object Handling at Boston Castle on 15th April has been cancelled
- Maltby Minors’ production, Aladdin from 30th March to 1st April 2020, has been cancelled
- Rotherham 10k and Fun Run 2020 will not take place on Sunday 17th May
- Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice’s Soapbox Derby on 20th June has been cancelled
