Wesley Live

On Friday 7th March, the Wesley Centre in Maltby will host a highly anticipated performance by two of the UK’s most iconic voices, Miranda Sykes and Jim Causley, who have joined forces as a duo to tour their new album in 2025.

Miranda and Jim have known each other for nearly 20 years. In 2024, they collaborated with John Palmer on a show celebrating the centenary of the death of song collector and author Sabine Baring-Gould.

Their collaboration was so successful and received such enthusiastic feedback that they decided to record and tour an album together. ‘The Last of the Singers’ is a collection of traditional, self-penned, and contemporary songs that showcase their remarkable talent and harmonies.

Miranda Sykes is renowned for her stunning voice, which she accompanies with exceptional skill on the double bass and acoustic guitar. Jim Causley is an accomplished solo performer, having graced folk festivals such as Lichfield, Sidmouth, Broadstairs, and Whitby, as well as venues across the UK. This is a rare opportunity to witness a polished and professional performance from this outstanding duo.

Advance tickets are £16.00 and available from the Wesley Centre by calling 01709 811118 or online at www.wegottickets.com.
