South Yorkshire businesses bid for glory

by | 1 November 2023 | Business, Rother

Barnsley and Rotherham Chamber has revealed the names of 39 businesses and individuals who are in the running to receive some of South Yorkshire’s most prestigious business accolades.

The Chamber’s annual Celebration of Business event will take place at the Magna Science Adventure Centre on 3rd November, with the glittering event set to showcase the achievements of businesses and individuals across South Yorkshire over the past 12 months.

Sponsored by the RNN Group, Barnsley and Rotherham Chamber’s Celebration of Business is one of the key dates on South Yorkshire’s business calendar. This year’s awards saw a record number of entrants and will recognise businesses operating in all parts of the regional economy, from inspirational start-up companies to businesses that are playing their part in shaping local communities, developing staff and delivering excellent customer service.

The work of charities will also be recognised and, for the first time, the Chamber will also celebrate the innovative work being delivered by businesses across the region to reduce carbon emissions and support the environment with its newly launched sustainability award.

During the evening, businesses that are celebrating milestones in 2023 will also gain recognition for their longstanding commitment to the region, and guests will be treated to a packed entertainment line-up and plenty of surprises along the way.

Carrie Sudbury, Chief Executive, Barnsley and Rotherham Chamber, said: “This year we saw a record number of entries to the Celebration of Business Awards, and every business and individual who has reached the shortlist should feel incredibly proud. The level of excellence displayed in all applications received, across all categories, was truly exceptional, presenting our judges with a challenging task.”

The event will be hosted by BBC Look North presenter Amy Garcia and will feature entertainment delivered by accomplished Dodworth-based musician Catherine Rannus and Britain’s Got Talent finalist, singer Kyle Tomlinson.

Tickets for the evening can be booked via the Chamber’s website. For more information, visit www.brawards.co.uk.
