Rotherham Probus Club – Bouncing back and building a successful friendship group!

by | 6 January 2024 | Probus, Rother

Going out is becoming popular again, and now the pandemic is becoming a distant memory we are able to fulfil our social needs by meeting with others and interacting.

If you are keen to increase your personal contacts and explore the opportunity to meet other people in a warm and safe environment, listen to weekly interesting talk, get out and about, enjoy lunches and even a visit or two, then you have just visualised becoming a member of a friendship group with a difference!

Rotherham Probus Club is now inviting new members and guests to see why they are becoming an even more desirable group to join. With refreshments, a high definition screen for speakers, a large car park and even a local bus service, they have an impressive meeting place (Broom Methodist Church) and company that is second-to-none!

The Club’s 2024 Speaker Programme has over 32 meetings regularly held throughout the year. They have slowly increased their membership and can now offer an even more interesting and varied schedule, including member’s mornings where past experiences or talk on topics can be shared.

Upcoming meetings are:

  • Tuesday 16th January: The Battle of Jutland by Paul Adey
  • Tuesday 23rd January: Parkgate History by Tony Dodsworth
  • Tuesday 30th January: AGM
  • Tuesday 6th February: Architecture and Conservations by Steven Rendi

If you would like to go along to any of the Club’s meetings, you will find a warm welcome waiting. For further information contact secretary@rotherhamprobus.com or visit www.rotherhamprobus.com.
