Andy’s Man Club has opened a fourth group in Rotherham – based in the centre of Rotherham at the Tesco Extra on Drummond Street (just a stone’s throw away from the bus station).
The group will be run exactly the same as the Club’s other 175 groups across the country – no cost, no need to book in, no referral needed and definitely no judgements.
ANDYSMANCLUB are a men’s suicide prevention charity, offering free-to-attend peer-to-peer support groups across the United Kingdom and online. On average, one man every two hours takes his life in the UK. It’s often said to be a factor that men don’t talk. That’s why ANDYSMANCLUB was born. Established in 2016 by Luke Ambler, who’s brother-in-law sadly took his own life, the aim of the club is to break down these stigmas, support men struggling, and lend a hand to suicide prevention.
Open for all men over 18, this is an opportunity to talk, get stuff off your chest, or even just listen or have a laugh or two.
Over the Rotherham borough, over 100 men go to talk every Monday evening in a safe, non judgemental place, that’s confidential. There are another 172 groups across the UK and an online group that all run at the same time, 7.00pm to 9.00pm on Monday evenings.
