As the new year begins, Sturton-le-Steeple Village Hall extends its best wishes for a happy and healthy year. The Hall also takes this opportunity to thank everyone who contributed in 2024. Without the hard work, donations, and contributions of its volunteers, the village hall would not be able to continue its work.
In the latter part of 2024, a new committee was appointed for the village hall. They set about reviving and arranging fundraising events with the aim of increasing charitable income, always keeping the community at heart. Their efforts have proven successful, with events in November and December raising nearly £1,000.
The support from the local community has been overwhelming, and the positive feedback received has been greatly appreciated.
For January, the focus remains on self-care. The local craft group resumes from Wednesday 7th January, and Thursday evenings will see Leah Frankland, the local yoga teacher, continue her weekly Yoga Classes. Additionally, the Social Sequences dance group meets every Tuesday evening.
The Sturton Friends community group will hold its monthly get-together on the third Monday of each month. On Monday 20th January, from 1.30pm to 3.30pm, an afternoon of Holiday Movies will take place. This group is open to all, offering a wonderful opportunity to connect with others and catch up with friends.

All events are in aid of the upkeep of the Village Hall and are fully supported and organised by local volunteers.
