After nearly five years of fundraising, St Bartholomew’s Church at Sutton-cum-Lound now boasts a new kitchen and toilet in the base of the church tower, as well as a brand-new bellringing room above it. The transformation of the west end of the church has been remarkable, and the view across the church from the ringing room is stunning.
To celebrate these achievements, the church will host a Harvest Flower Festival and Art Exhibition from Friday 4th to Sunday 6th October, 11.00am to 3.00pm. A special service of dedication will be held on Sunday morning at 10.00am. Everyone is invited to join in the celebrations over the weekend, with refreshments available. There will also be bell ringing, crafts, a raffle and games and the exhibition will be provided by Sutton Art Group.
The church also wishes to extend its gratitude to everyone who has supported the project through event attendance and donations, as well as to the following Trust funds for their generous contributions: The National Churches Trust, The Benefact Trust, The Hedley Trust, The Garfield Weston Foundation, and The Beatrice Laing Trust.
