2024 was a successful year for Ryton Chorale under the leadership of Sierra Farquhar Wulff. In March, the choir performed Mozart’s Requiem and Ralph Vaughan Williams’ Five Mystical Songs at The Crossing in Worksop. The summer concert, featuring Edward Elgar’s From the Bavarian Highlands, was held in the fitting venue of Retford Town Hall.

In November, the choir delivered an emotional rendition of Karl Jenkins’ The Armed Man alongside a beautiful supporting programme, again at The Crossing. The annual Christmas concert returned to St Anne’s Church on Newcastle Avenue after a venue change in 2023.

Rehearsals for 2025 begin at the Holy Family School on Netherton Road on Monday 6th January at 7.30pm. If you enjoy singing choral music, why not go along and join the choir? The next concert is scheduled for Saturday 29th March and will feature Handel’s magnificent work, The Messiah.

This performance will take place at The Crossing on Newcastle Street and will include the English Pro Musica orchestra, exceptional soloists, and guest conductor Nick Thorpe, while Sierra takes a break. Tickets will be available soon, priced at £15.00. Keep an eye on the website for updates and save the date in your diary.
