‘Celebrations’ is the theme for the Heritage Café at Retford Library on Thursday 2nd December at 2.00pm to 3.00pm. Do you have memories of local celebrations, traditions and events from days gone by? Go along and join them for tea and a chat as they explore old Retford photos and lots more! Tickets cost only 50p and include refreshments. Booking is advised.
The Dukeries Ukulele Band is, on Saturday 4th December, performing at Retford Library for the second time. They will be getting visitors in the mood for the festive season with two performances through the morning. Drop in for a musical treat.

On Monday 13th December at 1.30pm, the Christmas Reading Café is inviting people to share a short festive reading or poem – or simply enjoy listening to those of others. Booking is essential as places are limited.
The Children’s Library has a fantastic selection of Christmas books to entertain and delight and, throughout December, there is a range of festive activities sure to bring about a chorus of ho- ho- hos! Children are invited to ‘Design a Snowman’, with all decorated snowmen being put on display in the library. Alternatively, they can try to find the ‘Impish Library Elf’, who has
hidden in the library with his festive friends. There is also the chance to design a Christmas tree decoration, which will be used to decorate a tree on display in the library. All children taking part will receive a prize.
