The Scarecrow Festival is having a rest this year in Ordsall but they have a Produce and Craft Competition in its place on Saturday 14th September, open to all ages.
There are many classes which everyone can have a go at – vegetables, fruit, preserves, flower arrangements, baking, craft and photography plus dedicated children’s classes. Prizes for all classes with a certificate!
Entries must be in church between 10.00am and 12.00pm on the Saturday morning, with viewing and refreshments at 3.00pm followed by prizegiving and an auction of produce / baking at 4.00pm. The church will also be open that day from 10.00am to 4.00pm as part of Retford Heritage Day and the annual Ride and Stride around local churches.
Additional donations of items to auction are welcome.
They will also be collecting non-perishable items for the local Foodbank.

The Harvest Competition will be followed by the Family Harvest Service with Communion on Sunday 15th September at 11.00am.
