North Notts Creative Textiles Group will once again stage an exciting free textiles exhibition at Clumber Park Discovery Centre from Tuesday 1st October to Sunday 3rd November. All things autumn will be there — mushrooms, falling leaves, wildlife and fires are all included. A wide range of fabric techniques, embroidery and creativity will be on display in this iconic building next to the cafe and visitor centre in Clumber Park, which is a National Trust property.
Appliqué, felting — wet and dry, embellishment, hand and machine embroidery, mixed media and computer-aided textile work will all be on show, and most pieces will be for sale. Some of the designers and makers will be on hand to meet you and answer your questions on the skills involved on Saturdays and Sundays during the exhibition.
The North Notts Textiles Group meets on the first Wednesday of the month, and the next meeting is on Wednesday 2nd October, at Goodwin Hall, Retford, 7.00pm for 7.30pm start.
