Roxy is a 10-year-old Boxer cross, and she has been at the RSPCA South Yorkshire Animal Centre for 157 days. Roxy is a sweet girl who loves to be around humans; she likes a good run playing with tennis balls. The team promoted Roxy on social media platforms but it seemed that for no good reason Roxy would be spending Christmas at the centre.
Every animal gets a Christmas dinner and a stocking full of toys and treats, but it’s just not the same as having home comforts. Then one day a gentleman arrived and very quickly it became clear it was a match. The week before Christmas Roxy was rehomed with her new family.
This is just one example of the many RSPCA rehoming stories. Centre staff and volunteers appreciate each and every person who rehomes an animal. Remember your local RSPCA animal centre when you are looking for an addition to the family. During 2019 the RSPCA at Bawtry rehomed over 900 animals. As the charity is self-funded, it is the support of local Doncaster and Rotherham area communities that keep the place going.
Your local RSPCA team thank you for your support — and wish you a happy New Year.
