The Ballroom Afternoon Tea Dance in Morton Village Hall in June was popular, and featured CD music for the ballroom Waltz, Foxtrot and Quickstep plus Latin dances of Rumba, Cha Cha, Tango and Samba.
The usual mid dance refreshments were enjoyed.
Each time, there are also a small number of Sequence and Old Time dances in both halves of the two-and-a-half-hour session. But the dances are not only about dancing, with much chat about what dancers have been doing in the previous month.
The Dances are held on the third Thursday of each month, starting at 2.00pm and finishing at 4.30pm, with an approximately 25 minute interval for refreshments and a chat. They are a friendly group which welcomes new dancers of all levels of ability. There is no dance in August, but they restart on 19th September.
The venue is Morton Village Hall, Walkerith Road, Morton, Gainsborough. Tickets are £5.00 per person – but they occasionally have unannounced free dances for regular attenders.
