A stylish Retford resident is hoping to raise lots of money for Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice after launching a new charity hat hire service.
Choose from one of over 50 hats in Helen Grainger’s collection and know that you’re doing your bit for a fantastic local charity as well as wowing with an eye-catching accessory to your outfit. Maybe you’re looking for a hat for a wedding, an Afternoon Tea party or a day at the races?
After becoming aware of the huge amount of funds that are required on an annual basis to keep this much needed wonderful facility open, Helen decided to combine her passion for hats with fundraising.
She said: “My interest in hats is due to attending a one day millinery course. I have a collection of over 50 hats, quite a few have been donated, some have come from charity shops and from a hat shop closing down.”
She is offering a try before you hire service too – potential hirers can take their outfits to Helen’s house in Retford to try the hats before hiring.
