Garden visiting is a hobby we can all enjoy. Here are local National Gardens Scheme gardens waiting to welcome you in April:
Sunday 16th April, 10.00am to 4.00pm
Felley Priory, Underwood NG16 5FJA garden for all seasons with yew hedges and topiary, snowdrops, hellebores, herbaceous borders and roses. There are pergolas, a white garden, small arboretum and borders filled with unusual trees, shrubs, plants and bulbs. Bluebell woodland walk and orchard with extremely rare daffodils.
Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd April, 11.00am to 4.30pm
Capability Barn, Gonalston Lane, Hoveringham NG14 7JH
Imaginatively planted large country garden with something new each year. April brings displays of daffodils, hyacinths and tulips along with erythroniums, brunneras and primulas. A backdrop of established trees, shrubs and shady paths give a charming country setting. Large vegetable / fruit gardens with orchard / meadow completes the picture.

Oasis Community Gardens, Longfellow Drive, Kilton Estate, Worksop S81 0DE
Oasis Gardens is a community project transformed from abandoned field to an award winning garden. Managed by volunteers, the gardens are home to over 30 project areas, several garden enterprises and hosts many community events.

The spring garden has lots of colour with many rare and unusual plants, miniature narcissus, aces, aconites and hellebores. A good selection of unusual pots and garden ornaments.
Sunday 30th April, 1.00pm to 4.30pm
160 Southwell Road West, Mansfield NG18 4HB
This large garden is new for 2023. It was started from scratch in spring 2018. A range of growing environments include a woodland garden, a border designed for sun, large island beds, vegetable garden with a wide range of climbers growing up a variety of structures. A particular interest of the garden owners is agapanthus, woodland plants and vegetables.
