The North Notts Local Group starts the New Year with a talk about fracking by Janice Bradley MBE, Head of Conservation, Policy and Planning at Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust. Janice Bradley is well placed to tell members about this controversial activity. She has been working in conservation and habitat restoration for many years and has spearheaded numerous campaigns to protect the environment for wildlife. In fact, her MBE was awarded for her services to Nottinghamshire’s wildlife.
Janice’s well balanced and informative talk will explain the permitting processes, the system that grants permits for fracking, and what happens during fracking operations. She will outline the impacts these operations might have on our wildlife and update the group on the current situation in our area. She will also give an update on some of the Trust’s latest, exciting wildlife projects that are happening in our area. Do go along if you possibly can.
This meeting will be held in the Rural Learning Centre at the Idle Valley, North Road (A638), Retford DN22 8RQ on 10th January. The meeting starts at 7.30pm and admission costs £2.50, including refreshments. All are welcome, including non-members.
