Bassetlaw Hospice has several exciting fundraising events to look forward to. For tickets or more information on any of the below, please contact Debbie on 01777 710444 or debbie@bassetlawhospice.org.
Spring Fayre
On Saturday 13th April Bassetlaw Hospice will once again be holding their fundraising Spring Fayre at The Well, Hospital Road, Retford, where the doors will be open from 10.00am to 2.00pm.
There will be a variety of stalls selling items such as books, crafts and gifts and toys. Refreshments will also be available along with delicious homemade cakes to take away or sit and eat with a cuppa in the relaxing café area, before browsing for more bargains.
There will also be the Hospice’s signature Pop Up Shop, with clothing and accessories available for all those spring occasions. Tickets for the 30th Anniversary Grand Prize draw will be on sale at £1.00 each or £5.00 per book, with some fabulous prizes to be won when the winners are drawn in September.
Ladies Lunch
The annual Ladies Lunch at Ye Olde Bell Hotel and Spa, Barnby Moor, is on Thursday 16th May, where from 11.30am there will be the opportunity to browse and purchase items from a selection of home and lifestyle stalls selling everything from handbags to cushions.
Lunch will be served at 1.00pm, after which the guest speaker Ian Stephens will present ‘Nature on the Doorstep’ – a journey through the gardens of Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire that Ian has worked in and what he’s spotted along the way.
Tickets are priced at £27.00 each and include complimentary bread and olives and a delicious two-course lunch. A menu choice is available, bookable in advance, with tea or coffee included.
Spaces are limited so booking is essential.
Snowdon 2024
The charity is looking for adventurous people to join their team to take on this year’s Snowdon climb, which is taking place on Sunday 13th October. Transport is provided, setting off from the Hospice early morning, arriving at Snowdon ready to climb via the Pyg Track route with professional guides leading and supervising the climb.
You do need to be reasonably fit as it is a climb, not a walk, but if this sounds like something you want to do and can commit to raising £300 sponsor money then please register to take part now at www.bassetlawhospice.org/snowdon-2024.
