Sunday 1st October, 10.00am to 4.00pm, is Apple Day in and around East Markham Village Hall (NG22 0SS) and adjacent Hempsall Heritage Orchard.
There will be a huge amount of offer, including:
- 300+ varieties of apples
- Free apple juice tasting
- New apple recipe book, with new recipes including free tasting tables
- Pick-Your-Own apples at bargain prices
- Apple Advice Centre
- Stalls related to apples, general gardening, local produce and arts and crafts
- Refreshments and entertainment including pork and apple cob lunch, Morris dancers and a steam engine!
Please note there are no dogs allowed in the Village Hall (except guide dogs). There is free on-street parking.
There are also three ‘Pick-Your-Own’ days: Saturday 30th September, Sunday 1st October and Saturday 7th October, all 10.00am to 4.00pm at Hempsall’s Heritage Orchard, NG22 0TE (bags supplied).
Profits from the events are donated to local charities.
