Beckingham cum Saundby Village Hall and Playing Field will be holding their Annual General Meeting in Beckingham Village Hall on Tuesday 9th May, starting at 7.00pm. It was in September 1948 that the Village Hall was officially opened on 7.7 acres of land left in trust by the Watson family who owned Beckingham Shipyard.
The Village Hall and Playing Field is run by a Management Committee made up of village residents, and members of various groups and organisations in the two villages. Local residents are encouraged to attend the AGM to support and contribute to this valuable community facility. This would also be an ideal opportunity to view the excellent facilities which are available for hire by contacting the Booking Secretary on 01427 848756. The Hall and Playing Field is ideal for holding private functions, birthday parties, meetings, wakes, dances, exercise activities and outdoor functions.
