Every week, 2nd Tuxford Scouting and Guiding provide around 50 young people, aged five to 15 from Tuxford and surrounding villages, with a safe space to make friends, have adventures, build their confidence and learn new skills.
Group leaders and helpers are happy to volunteer their time and want to keep the groups going, but they are quickly reaching a crisis point because of:
- Increased costs of heating, lighting and maintaining the building
- Imminent retirement of group leaders
- Not enough group committee members
They are urgently appealing for:
- New members for their committee
- Leaders / helpers for all sections
- Help with fundraising.
