Rotherham Community Achievement Awards opens for nominations

by | 25 August 2021 | Notice, Rotherham

Do you know an organisation or individual who has made a real difference to life in the community in Rotherham? Then why not nominate them for a Community Achievement Award.

Organised by Voluntary Action Rotherham on behalf of the Rotherham Together Partnership, the Community Achievement Awards are held annually to celebrate the work of individuals and projects in the voluntary and community sector that have made a significant difference to the communities of Rotherham.

There are three categories you can nominate people or organisations for; these are Volunteer, Young Volunteer (under 25) or Project.

Shafiq Hussain, Chief Executive at Voluntary Action Rotherham said: “Without a doubt the last 18 months have been the most uncertain and challenging times most of us will ever see; but in the background community groups, volunteers and organisations have all worked tirelessly throughout,  helping people in Rotherham overcome the challenges they have faced.”

“The Rotherham Community Achievement Awards are a perfect opportunity to recognise those individuals and projects that have gone that extra mile, say a big ‘THANK YOU’ for their achievements during the last year and publicly acknowledge the huge role they play in Rotherham.”
