As 1208 Warsop Squadron, RAF Air Cadets, concludes another successful year of achievements, they would like to look back and share some of their biggest accomplishments from the year.
The dedication of the cadets is acknowledged, as they consistently devote their time to attending squadron activities and events. Their commitment not only benefits their personal growth but also strengthens the squadron as a whole. Despite the challenges they face, their perseverance throughout the year has been an achievement in itself.
This November, the dedication and hard work of the drummers, who debuted when commemorating those lost in conflict at the local Remembrance Parade in Warsop, have really paid off. The hard work of the rest of the cadets, many marching in the parade for the first time, is also celebrated. Since September, the squadron has been excited to welcome and enrol 12 new cadets, helping them in the start of their cadet careers.
Throughout the year, some more senior cadets have received several promotions, including new additions to the NCO (Non-Commissioned Officer) team. The squadron has also celebrated cyber awareness awards, flying awards, shooting awards, and both bronze and prestigious gold Duke of Edinburgh awards. Furthermore, they are immensely proud that CWO Dau continues to represent the RAF Air Cadets as the Lord Lieutenant’s Cadet for Nottinghamshire.
If any of this sounds of interest, or if someone is in school years 8 to 11 and wishes to broaden their horizons, they are invited to come down to the open evening with a parent / guardian on Wednesday 12th March between 7.30pm and 9.00pm.
