After the excesses of the festive season, are you looking for a chance to chase away the January blues? Then come to Les Francophiles de Tickhill’s folk dance evening with a difference! On Wednesday 3rd January at 7.30pm the group shall be entertained by the Lys St George folk group, who are based in the Isle of Axholme. They have promised to demonstrate and get members to participate in a variety of traditional French dances.
Then on 7th February, former chairman Mike Scragg will show members some of the cookery skills he learned at a Cordon Bleu course in France.
Meetings take place at the Parish Room, Tickhill DN11 9HZ, on the first Wednesday of each month at 7.30pm. Refreshments are provided afterwards with a chance to socialise and converse in French. You can enrol now for a reduced fee or come as a visitor at a charge of £3.00. Further details are available from Janet Erridge on 01302 745281.
