Les Francophiles de Tickhill

by | 31 January 2019 | Hobbies, Social Group

On Wednesday 6th February Les Francophiles de Tickhill welcome Neil Robson from Bessacarr, who will present an illustrated talk on a WWII RAF crash site near Caen in Normandy. This site is special to Neil, as it was his uncle who perished there.

Then on Wednesday 6th March they shall be entertained by Catherine Greensmith, who will speak about the Impressionists in London. Catherine, a lecturer at Hull University, represents the Alliance Française in our area. Many of the French Impressionists were forced to flee Paris at the outbreak of the revolution of 1870: they shall see how London benefited from their exile.

The group meet at the Parish Room, Tickhill DN11 9HZ, at 7.30pm. Visitors are welcome at a charge of £3.00. Refreshments are provided. For further details contact Jan Murray on 07463 007789.
