Gifted guitarist Xuefei Yang played to a packed house the last time she performed for The Scunthorpe and North Lincolnshire Concert Society. Amongst the many stand-out moments, ‘A Moonlit Night on the Spring River’ was an inspired signature piece of Chinese classical repertoire. Reviewer Clive Davies commented that her programme had been ‘a melodious realm that shifted in time and space, traversing both continents and centuries’.

Her forthcoming programme, entitled ‘X Culture’, will introduce the audience to music from a variety of composers and cultures, played in Xuefei’s unique way. International success has led her to be invited to play in more than 50 countries at numerous prestigious venues such as Wigmore Hall, all Southbank venues, and Royal Albert Hall in London. A registered charity, The Scunthorpe and North Lincolnshire Concert Society prides itself on delivering superb concerts that appeal to a variety of tastes. If you have never seen or heard a solo guitarist play from the heart, this concert would be the chance to experience the allure of the acoustic.
