Holly and ivy took centre stage at The Lea Women’s Institute when the lovely ladies turned their creative talents to wreath-making. The air was filled with the festive foliage fragrance of pine, conifer and eucalyptus.
The circular shape of the wreath, with no beginning or end, represents eternity and unending love. The Women’s Institute solidly embodies friendship with steadfast loyalty. Ladies: you too can be a part of this special organisation where everybody is welcomed with open arms.
Beetle Drive
This simple game requires only paper, pencils and dice. The aim is to be the first player to draw a complete beetle. The body parts you draw are determined by the throw of the dice.
Anyone can join in on Thursday 2nd January, 7.00pm at Lea Village Hall, DN21 5JA. For more information on how the Women’s Institute can add another dimension to your life contact Jackie Summers the.summers@btinternet.com.
