What price would one put on friendship? Annual membership of the Lea Women’s Institute costs just £51, and what one receives is priceless! Founded as a charity to give women a voice and to be a force for good in the community, it offers lifelong learning, self-development, and a chance to share experiences. Studies have shown that loneliness can risk a person’s health. Don’t be afraid to join on your own because you soon won’t be!
Macmillan Coffee Morning
Hosted at the Lea Village Hall, the ladies raised the healthy sum of £429.26 to support this vital cause. Macmillan understands how cancer can affect people’s whole lives – health, money, family, job; everything.
And, after more than 100 years of caring, they know that the most important thing is to treat people as individuals, not patients.
