Jean began playing the piano at the age of three and gained two degrees for piano and organ by the age of 21.
Orchestrally trained in harmony, conducting, choral and composition, Jean performs classical works on piano and classical pipe organ, where she excels in the style of Bach. She studied Bach, Gershwin and Rachmaninoff and was tutored in jazz by the late great jazz musician Johnny Dankworth.
Jean has regularly appeared on UK television programmes including Songs of Praise and This Morning, and has toured the concert scene entertaining audiences across the country. Over the years, she has raised huge amounts for various charities and has shared her musical skills as Head of Music to pupils to diploma levels.
She is equally at home on classical organs and has given recitals in Europe. She has performed jazz on Hammond in seven American states, in England and in the Netherlands. Recently she performed a concert on a Steinway piano in Delhi and New Orleans.
