Get your gardens looking amazing this summer with the help of St Barnabas! Don’t forget to go along to St Barnabas Hospice’s Cream Tea and Plant Sale, on Sunday 2nd June, from 1.30pm to 4.00pm at their Gainsborough Hospice, Morton DN21 3AD. This will be a great opportunity for you to choose from an array of beautiful plants, whilst at the same time enjoying delicious homemade cream teas! Everyone is very welcome and entry is free.
June is the month where the charity ask you to Go Yellow for St Barnabas Hospice. This campaign focuses on raising awareness for their hospice care, by encouraging members of our local community to get their yellow thinking caps on, and put on their very own fundraising event for St Barnabas!
Yellow is a colour that has been long associated with our county, and it also acts as a representative of hospice care, therefore it is the perfect focus for your event. The way in which you choose to incorporate this is completely down to you; the wackier the better! Why not dress as a minion for a day, have a yellow cake sale or host a yellow duck race? Anything goes, just be sure to Go Yellow.
For ideas, inspiration and resources why not download a pack from www.stbarnabashospice.co.uk. They hope that this will make your fundraising as straightforward as possible; they can also send them through the post if you prefer.
Last year St Barnabas cared and supported over 10,500 people, which required £11 million of funding. As they rely on half of this being funded through public donations, they are so very grateful for the support of those in our communities who help ensure that St Barnabas is available to all those living with a life-limiting or terminal illness in Lincolnshire.
