The committee of the Lincoln branch of Lincolnshire Family History Society are hoping the branch can reconvene on Saturday 13th March 2021. They apologise for the delay in their return but hope you understand.

Kirton in Lindsey Town Hall are back, albeit with a reduced programme of activities.
Some of their regular activities are returning; circuits, yoga, and tai chi for the active and craft club, Evergreens and Slimming World for gentler interests. read more

Barnardo’s Gainsborough

Barnardo’s Gainsborough

Barnardo’s Gainsborough has been welcoming customers back since 10th July. It has been great for the team to see so many friendly faces and to receive such positive reactions from so many people.
They were closed for over three months and the team love being back at work raising money for vulnerable children and young people across the UK. read more

Morton Tea Dances

The dances at Morton Village Hall are still unable to restart, owing to number restrictions. It is a shame but we must all behave and obey the law. As soon as numbers increase to allow dancers to attend the organisers will do so, but at minute that seems a long way off. They will update when things head to more normal situation. read more

Kirton in Lindsey Scarecrows 2020

Kirton in Lindsey Town Council

In the summer of 2019, many scarecrows appeared across Kirton in Lindsey as the first Scarecrow Competition in the town took place. The event, across the month of July, proved to be a huge success and so was planned again for 2020. By March 2020 steps were in place, a theme planned and information was due to start to go out in May. However, as we all know, things changed significantly with the coronavirus health crisis. read more

Beckingham Bowls Club

Beckingham Bowls Club

Outdoor lawn bowling returned to Beckingham on 1st June, when the village bowls club opened their green for members to play, strictly following Government-approved guidance from Bowls England relative to COVID-19. Initially, play was just on a one-to-one basis on alternate rinks and, after subsequent guidance, pairs were allowed. read more

Picnic in the Park

Enjoy a charity Picnic in the Park at Knaith Hall, Knaith, Gainsborough DN21 5PE on Sunday 6th September, from 11.00am to 4.00pm. The cost is £2.50pp (children free) and all proceeds go to Lincolnshire St John Ambulance and the St John Jerusalem Eye Hospital. Take your own picnic. In attendance will be The Really Awesome Coffee Co. and Ice Cream Van, by kind permission of John and Rosie Burke. read more

Stepping Stone Theatre for Mental Health

Stepping Stone Theatre for Mental Health is thrilled to announce that their Strollers group is back. The event is called Walk and Talk. Participants take a leisurely stroll whilst having a gentle chat. They will be able to talk about everything, or they can talk about nothing. The group will be meeting every Sunday (started 9th August) at 10.00am at Roses Sports Ground, 18 Willow Close, Gainsborough DN21 2TZ. read more
