Bumper Quiz

You are invited to the Bumper Quiz on Saturday 21st April at 7.30pm in the Village Hall, Beckingham. The entry fee is £5.00 per team member. Bring your own food and drink — from nibbles to a banquet, the decision is yours!

Well I had hoped to begin this month’s update with spring finally having made an appearance, but I think the recent snow has firmly put paid to that! Whilst the adverse weather delayed the beginning of our Barnabas Brew campaign, we are hoping to still make a real impact with Brews stretching right across the county. read more

70 year old bowls club looking for new blood

Beckingham Bowls Club

Beckingham Bowls Club was formed in July 1948 and consequently will be celebrating their anniversary with the 70th Anniversary Open Pairs on Sunday 15th July. The club is currently healthy with good membership, a social programme, adequate funds and a programme of sponsorship and fundraising events for 2018. read more

Beckingham Gardeners’ Club

Chris and Margaret Edge were the speakers at Beckingham Gardeners’ Club last meeting, in the Recreation Room at Beckingham, with a talk on ‘Flowers for Bees and Other Insects’. The talk was set around a year in the life of a bee; their needs to forage for nectar and the types of flowers available. All this was highlighted with wonderful photographs. read more
