A small art group meets at Springthorpe Village Hall every Wednesday from 10.00am to 12.00pm.

The Kirton in Lindsey Amateur Gardeners (KLAGs) 2020 season of meetings starts on Wednesday 18th February at 7.30pm, in the Town Hall, Market Place, Kirton in Lindsey. The talk this time will be taking the audience down to southern Africa for an illustrated talk given by Mary Hollingsworth, entitled ‘A Grand Tour of Namibia’. Bigger than any western European country, Namibia is also the second sparsest country in the world after Mongolia. read more

Welcome to 2020 everyone and what a great year 2019 was for the charity nights at the Blues Club Gainsborough DN21 2HU, with some great acts and a record amount donated to local charities. The organisers hope you all enjoyed New Year’s Eve, with the Soundinjectors supported by Taylor Soul. Fairtrade for Bassetlaw

Fairtrade Fortnight will be back in 2020 from 24th February to 8th March throughout the UK. Fairtrade for Bassetlaw hopes that people reading the wonderful ‘Life’ magazine that drops through your door, support Fairtrade all year round; but here is a perfect way to enjoy perhaps one of your favourite foods — chocolate, at the same time as highlighting the poor wages chocolate producers are paid — and many of the workers are women. read more

Morton Tea Dances

Morton Tea Dances

Morton Village Hall and Gainsborough House Christmas dinner representatives were the recipients of this year’s charity donations from the Morton Tea Dance Group. They received £150.00 each during the group’s December dance.
Gainsborough House put its donation towards the annual Christmas Day celebrations for people who would be alone, while Morton Village Hall, where the group hold dances, plan work in the gardens to improve the look and use of the outside areas. read more

First birthday for Dine at the Bridge

The 13th February 2020 is the first birthday of Dine at the Bridge at Clip Learning, Bridge Street, Gainsborough.
Dine at the Bridge is open every Wednesday for lunch. They open at 11.30am for welcoming drinks, and serve lunch between 12.00pm and 1.30pm. read more

They are an enthusiastic self-help group who are willing and able to help people wanting to get started with their family history as well as providing help to those who have hit a ‘brick wall’ and cannot find a way forward. read more

The Lincoln branch of Lincolnshire Family History Society will hold its Members Annual Meeting on Saturday 8th February from 1.45pm to 4.00pm at Queen’s Park Community Hub, South Park, Lincoln LN5 8EN. After branch meeting business has been completed they will be celebrating 30 years as part of Lincolnshire Family History Society with a quiz and refreshments. read more

Snowdrop weekend at Babworth Church

Babworth Church will be holding its annual and ever-popular Snowdrop Weekend on 8th and 9th February.
It is a wonderful opportunity to visit the ‘Church in the Woodland’ and to discover its historical connection with the Pilgrim Fathers, and their voyage on the Mayflower nearly 400 years ago. read more
