Connexions Community Hub

Recent events and announcements mean that we can now begin to look upon life in a more positive way as we follow a route map out of lockdown. Moving forward there is no doubt we will enter into a phase of renewed enthusiasm in a much stronger community, with renewed strength in facing the new challenges ahead of us as recovery finally begins, step by step, from this crisis.
At the Connexions Community Hub, they will also intend to begin a phased return to all of their activities, step by step, little by little. Their own recovery is likely to begin by re-launching their programmes of community learning and bringing back their support groups and youth committee activities, whilst also continuing to offer one-to-one support sessions, coffee mornings and, in a final phase, performing arts activities.
Throughout lockdown the Levelling’s project has been a key focus for the Connexions youth committee and volunteers in supporting the Town Council’s longer term plan for the site. This will be phased in over the coming months as well, with priority being given to repairing pathways, landscaping, picnic areas and play equipment. All of which, it is hoped, will be realised through applying for additional grant funding in support of this first phase before considering the larger scale proposals and initiatives, to help bring this much loved open space back to life.
As always, they very much look forward to welcoming everyone back to the hub over the coming months and fully opening to the public once more, so, keep an eye on their social media for the very latest updates.
