For the fifth successive year the North and South Wheatley Village Hall team brings Waikiki to Wheatley on Sunday 15th July, commencing at 1.00pm. The event takes place in and around the village hall and playing field and offers fun for all ages. While the youngsters can splash around in the pools and build sandcastles on the ‘beach’ or burn energy on the bouncy castle, slightly older villagers can enjoy a beer or a Pimms, or perhaps a cream tea and a burger.
Fancy trying your luck at target bowls — you may discover a hidden talent and be ‘head-hunted’ by Wheatley Bowls Club! Several other village groups and societies will also be manning stalls including the Women’s Institute, the Local History and Family History Groups, and the Horticultural Society.
As well as being a great family afternoon out, Waikiki also raises funds for the village hall so please come along and support us. Admission to the event is free, however there is a small inclusive charge for all the water activities. Contact Kerry on 07748 556002 for further details.
