Rather than travelling long distances and paying a high price to see a band in a large, impersonal venue, why not attend one of the concerts at Springthorpe? The artists are carefully selected and are equally at home in an intimate setting as they are performing for hundreds.
The first concert takes place on Sunday 16th March with The Lost Notes (Acoustic). Hailing from Birmingham, they are renowned for their superb three-part harmonies, beautifully crafted songs, impressive musicianship and dynamic stage presence. Tickets are £12.00 and can be booked by emailing mandsd@yahoo.com. Attendees are welcome to bring their own drinks and nibbles.
The second concert is on Sunday 18th May with Tom Bliss and Den Miller. Tom, one of the organisers’ all-time favourite singer-songwriters, retired from professional music around ten years ago but has recently been persuaded to perform occasionally. He now focuses on raising funds to support research into Multiple Sclerosis. He will be joined by multi-instrumentalist Den Miller.
There is no fixed admission price for this performance, but donations on the night will contribute towards Tom’s fundraising target of £13,000 for the year. Tickets can be booked by emailing mandsd@yahoo.com.
