Woodworking is a traditional skill that is used or relied upon every day. Dukeries Community Workshop’s popular sessions run on Monday evenings from 5.30pm to 8.00pm, all day Tuesday, and Wednesday mornings from 9.00am to 12.30pm.
An extremely talented volunteer tutor, Phil, guides and instructs attendees in the skills of woodworking. Participants start by learning the basics, allowing them to eventually work independently on their own projects. Attendees can create a project of their choice, with past creations including doors, dovecotes, coffee tables, bird boxes, games, lamps, and much more.
The Dukeries Community Centre is a charitable organisation, established in 1988, offering a range of craft workshops. Regular drop-in workshop sessions are also available, where participants can complete their own projects with access to tools, machinery, and expert guidance.
