Despite challenging weather, the Bassetlaw Branch of Parkinson’s UK warmly welcomed new members last month. It is always a pleasure to see new faces joining and learn about the many benefits of being part of such a supportive community.
Alongside monthly meetings, the group offers a weekly exercise group, a singing group, and an indoor bowling group. A lively lunch club meets regularly at the Lockkeeper, and annual activities include outings and theatre visits.
The meeting on Tuesday 4th February will welcome Dr Fiona McKevitt, a consultant neurologist, speaking about Parkinson’s disease and its treatments. It is always a privilege to host Dr McKevitt, who generously gives her time from a busy schedule to engage with members.
Meetings are held on the first Tuesday of every month at 2.00pm at Worksop Cricket Club, Central Avenue, S80 1EN. For more information about the group and its activities, contact Chris Coldwell on 01909 730629.
