Sunday 9th February – Kim Richey
Two-time Grammy-nominated Kim Richey, from East Nashville, Tennessee, is a storyteller with a voice so pure, arresting, and honest that it literally aches with life’s truths. Her warm, expressive, and melodic songs transport listeners to a world where words paint pictures and melodies touch the soul. Her music never disappoints.
Over the past two decades, Kim has released ten critically acclaimed albums. Her album Glimmer was listed in Time Magazine’s Top 10 Albums of 1999, and her album Rise was named Alt Country Album of the Year by People Magazine. Her 2013 release Thorn in My Heart appeared on year-end best lists by No Depression, The Boston Globe, and The Associated Press.
Kim’s latest album, Every New Beginning, was released in May 2024. The songs on it represent the full spectrum of her gifts as a songwriter and singer. Kim will be accompanied by Luke Brightly on electric guitar.
Friday 7th March – Carter Sampson
The self-crowned ‘Queen of Oklahoma’, Carter Sampson, embarks on her latest UK tour with her ‘UK’ band, featuring Joe Coombs on lead guitar, Scott Warman on bass, and Jamie Dawson on drums. Carter writes relatable and heartfelt songs about family, life, love, and unique characters. Known for her high-quality songwriting and gorgeous vocals, she is regarded as one of the best in Americana music.
Carter has released six albums, with her last studio album Gold spending many months on the Americana Music Charts.
Support for this concert comes from Joe Martin, a favourite of THL audiences. With his pure, clear voice and a collection of country / Americana songs, Joe stands out among songwriters in the UK.
