The first meeting of Les Francophiles de Tickhill in the new year will take place a week later than usual, on Wednesday 8th January. Brenda Lowe, a teacher at St Mary’s School, will speak about teaching French in primary schools and the importance of introducing children to a foreign language at an early age.
The group meets at 7.30pm in the Parish Room on the first Wednesday of each month from October to July. While meetings are conducted in English, there is always an opportunity to practise French over tea or coffee with members who are experienced French speakers.
